Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while local people in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and implementing sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The assaults succeed evenings of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
