I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
